This is an 8×10 photo that has been personally autographed by Steve Young with HOF inscription. He had a spectacular senior season when he passed for 3,902 yards and 33 touchdowns in the regular season, and his 71.3% completion percentage set an NCAA single-season record. The BYU Cougars finished the year with an impressive 11–1 record; Young was named First Team All-American and finished second in voting for the Heisman Trophy (behind Mike Rozier). He was then drafted by the LA Express of the USFL and would play two seasons before the league went defunct, followed that up with two miserable seasons with the Bucs in 86-87 as the team went 4-24 during that time frame. He then moved to the 49ers and would back up Joe Montana for three seasons from 1987-1990 and finally in 1991 he would emerge as the Hall of Fame quarterback after Montana suffered and elbow injury and Young became the starter. From 1992-1998 he was selected to the Pro Bowl each season, in 1992 and 1994 he was selected as the NFL MVP, and would lead the 49ers to a Super Bowl XXIX championship and earn MVP honors of that game as well.
